Massachusetts need to lead the way in supporting renewable energy sources. CapeWind offers a viable alternative to fossil fuels to creating the electricity we need.

I have noticed that many of the people who oppose this company's proposal are from Cape Cod. This is another example of "not in my backyard" thinking. Environmental studies abound suggesting that the negative impact of such wind farms on the environment is negligible. Birds and fish are not harmed. The only negative is that they aren't Cape Cod Quaint. Big deal! I would so much rather see a bunch of windmills offshore than oil derricks (I recently took a trip to California and was appalled to see oil rigging off the beautiful Pacific coast!) I can only imagine the environmental damage being done below the surface of those peaceful waves.

I urge you to see reason and support CapeWind and other such windfarms.
